Easter Pictures:)

My cousins from Michigan brought my grandpa his birthday presents yesterday. Turns out, he got three Zebra Finches!! This is only one of them...they flew really fast in their cage so it was hard to get any good pictures of them. But still, I managed to get a few:)

Let the egg-finding begin!! Little cousins running everywhere were great subjects of today's photo shoot!
I like the lighting and the way he is focused in this one.
 SHE IS SO CUTE!!!

 I love this picture!
Counting eggs:) Should've used the Rule of Thirds.
I love the contrast of colors here!
Cool picture:)

Perspective Pictures

Took this picture at co-op. I was below the clock looking up at it.
I like how this picture emphasizes the word 'KNOW', but still has the other words.
This one is the exact opposite of the one above, emphasizing the word 'DO'.
I asked Gavin and my friend Tess to come back in our woods for a photo shoot. I put Gav up on a culvert beside our creek and stood below him. I like the lighting in this one:)
This time I stood up on the same culvert as in the pic above and took one looking down on him.
Tessa's awesome boots from atop the culvert:)
I love her face:) Also an example of foreground.
Being goofy:) I think I was off the culvert at this point.
I was back on the culvert looking down again:)
She makes a great moose, don't you think?? I was below them, maybe sitting?

THANKS GUYS!

Lighting

These pictures are examples of different lighting. Lighting is one of the most important things in photography. It sets moods, draws attention, and characterizes photos. Below I have three different lightings: Natural lighting (light from the sun), indoor/artificial lighting (light bulbs), and the flash (flash could also classify as artificial lighting).

This picture was taken inside, and without the flash. It is an example of indoor/artificial lighting.

This picture was taken at the same location as the one above, only I used the flash on this one. It is an example of flash lighting. -- I personally do not like using the flash while taking pictures unless necessary. Some photographers take amazing pictures with flashes, but I have not yet learned how to use them well enough for my photos to look good. I prefer natural lighting. --

This picture was taken outside, without the flash, on a glass table. It was cloudy out on the day I took the picture, but if it was sunny it would probably look different. It is an example of natural lighting.

My Girls:)

These pictures are all taken using natural lighting (light from the sun). I took my dogs outside for a photo shoot and got some cool pictures. I cannot tell you how hard it is to keep a 7 1/2-month-old puppy still long enough to take more than one picture!! Still, I got some of her and my 14 year old retired 4-H showdog, Lucy.

I was trying to get the railing in the foreground... I could have blurred the background a little more.
Still trying to use the railing as foreground, but Jordy got bored and started barking. It was really cute how she was laying there, but I got her mid-bark. I think she looks like she's saying, "Awww c'mon!!"  ...Still, I think its cute:)
I like how this one's focused on her nose:)
I used her paws as foreground in this one...It made them look really big (although they are huge in real life!!). I'm not crazy about the lighting up near her head, and I could have blurred the background a little more too.
Here are my girls:) Lucy's on the left and Jordy's on the right.

I'm a sucker for her chocolate eyes, and this picture got 'em. I wish I would have focused on them a little more, but still I think it's my favorite picture of the day:)
I like this picture too, and how it got her eyes, but it doesn't look as crisp to me.

Water

 Subject is in the center.
Subject is off-center.

Foreground & Rule of Thirds

This is a picture with the sticks and some snow in the foreground. It is also and example of the Rule of Thirds.

Fords are the BEST!!!

 I love Ford trucks:)
 Tailgate
I like the lighting on this one.
I used the rear window for a reflection to take a picture of myself...I wish the house wasn't in it, and i could have moved the whole pictue down a little too.
I like the way my hair is blowing in this one, but i'm blurred because the camera was focused on the window. Still, I think its neat:)
 Muck boots:)

This one's supposed to be horizontal, but it wouldn't flip:/
More muck boots... I like this one cause of the different surroundings and designs in the bed of the truck.
